Silver Lake College offers various learning opportunities to the
public in a
non-credit seeking format:- Lifelong Learning Program: This program offers Senior Citizens, 55 years of age or older, an opportunity to register as an "auditing student" in selected undergraduate courses.
- Music for Tots: A ten-week program hosted every fall, spring and summer for children ages 3 - 5 designed to help improve not only the tonal, listening, coordination and rhythmic skills, but also verbal and socialization skills, ability to follow directions, focus attention and share with peers.
- Lovenotes: A five-week course, offered at Silver Lake College and developed by internationally recognized music educator, Dr. Lorna Zemke, aimed at teaching pregnant couples how to use music as a bonding language with their unborn child.
- Summer Youth Programs: Silver Lake College offers a week-long series of classes for youth grades 1-9 during the month of July called the Youth Enrichment Summer (YES) program.
Personal and Professional Development Opportunities
Silver Lake College offers custom designed seminars and retreat experiences in areas such as MBTI, leadership development, supervisory management, mission integration, psychology, technology, effective communication and a variety of other topics. The format of the seminar/retreat is determined jointly by Silver Lake College and the contracted party.
