Graduate Programs
The Silver Lake Division of Graduate Studies offers Graduate-level programs in four areas including:
- Master of Arts in Education
- Program focuses on Teacher Leadership or Administrative Leadership, offered at various locations throughout the state; both programs include some on-line work. See the specific program for details. Accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
- Master of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior
- Program includes emphasis areas in Training and Organizational Development, Global Management, Health Care Management, and General Studies
- Master of Music in Music Education (Kodály emphasis)
- Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
- Master of Arts in Special Education
- Degree with optional licensure in Cognitive Disabilities, Early Childhood Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, and Visual Impairment. Accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
Experienced Faculty
Silver Lake College Graduate Faculty have professional experience related to their teaching assignments, allowing them to bridge the gap between theory and practice. In addition, the faculty is charged with providing person-to-person encouragement and counseling for the students as well as carefully structuring the classroom environment to allow for student growth and the adoption of new roles.
Our graduate programs have been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. All graduate level work is designed to combine theoretical knowledge, practical skills and internalized dispositions upon which graduates of the programs can build higher levels of expertise and leadership in their field.
