Honor Societies
Beta Beta Beta (National Biological Honor Society)
Tri Beta aims to improve the understanding and appreciation of biological
study and to extend the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific
research. Affiliated with the Omega Beta chapter of Beta Beta National
Biological Honor Society. Membership is restricted to
Biology majors or minors in good academic
standing (at least a "B" average) and having a sincere interest in the society;
by invitation only. Activities include monthly meetings, group activities,
student research, and numerous society-sponsored campus events, to which all

Sigma Tau Delta (International English Honor Society)
Sigma Tau Delta is a service based organization that promotes understanding
and enjoyment of the English language and all genres of literature. Affiliated
with the Alpha Eta Psi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor
Society. Membership is restricted to English majors or
minors in their junior or senior year. Sigma Tau Delta holds monthly meetings to
plan community service projects. Members contribute to the publication of Silver
Reflections and are exposed to different opportunities that promote a Graduate
level education. The annual initiation takes place during the Fall semester. For
