Capital Campaign

“I have had the privilege of being on the faculty of Silver Lake College from 1966-1978 as an instructor of philosophy. It was one of the most formative experiences of my life: a strong academic institution; a committed Franciscan community, and an environment that fostered intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth. The current campaign will help to foster the values of educational excellence, personal integrity, and holistic development. Silver Lake College is a tremendous resource for the Lakeshore area and far beyond.

“One of the gifts I have received from our Franciscan Community is a college education from Silver Lake College of the Holy Family. It prepared me well to serve in education ministries as well as in positions of leadership in our Religious Community. I came to better understand all that the College has to offer its students when I served as the Executive Assistant to the President and interim president. From all my experiences related to the College, I learned not only the skills needed for ministry but also how to integrate the values promoted by the College into all aspects of life.”

“The Manitowoc/Northeast Wisconsin area should be very proud of the quality of education that Silver Lake College brings to the surroundings communities. We have served on 3 other college boards and President's Advisory Committees, and Silver Lake does not have to take a back seat to any of them. The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity bring the "frosting on the cake" with their presence and values, which many of us have benefited from in our early education.”

"Silver Lake College has been an important asset in our community for over 75 years. Its value to Manitowoc County and Northeastern Wisconsin far exceeds the accessibility of high quality education for students, young and old. We place a high value on their consistently well-educated graduates who are important contributors to life in our community and the important good example that comes from the Silver Lake College family."

Rep. Bob Ziegelbauer
Manitowoc County Executive, Wisconsin State Representative

“After teaching at the Conservatory for so many years, I have seen the positive impact Holy Family Conservatory has had on its students and the local community. The new building will allow the cultural impact of the Conservatory to continue well into the future and will enhance the music program at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family.”

“My educational experience with SLC began in the 60’s taking classes toward my diploma in nursing and returning in the 80’s graduating with a B.S. in Nursing. The individual attention fostering personal growth and strong Christian values instilled in all areas of education by the Franciscan Sisters have inspired me ever since. I found it an honor to serve on the SLC Board of Directors for two 4-yr terms and am a current member of the Advancement Committee. It is with great excitement that I now serve on the Campaign Committee knowing that SLC will continue long into the future offering a superior educational experience in a faith-based setting.”
