Commissioned Ministry
Leadership Formation Certification Program
The mission of the Commissioned Ministry Leadership Formation Program—in the spirit of Vatican II and with the combined effort of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and Silver Lake College—is to provide a process that integrates personal, spiritual, and academic components which prepare Christians for their response to God's call of discipleship and collaborative ministry in the local church and beyond.
Program Overview
The Commissioned Ministry Leadership Formation Program is a three-stage college credit certificate program designed for women and men who have experience as a parish minister (see Group I), have demonstrated effectiveness in ministry, and seek to develop as ministerial leaders.
In addition, a person may use these courses:
- as credentials for various Church ministries
- as credits applied to a Bachelor's degree. Silver Lake College will accept the eighteen (18) credits earned through the Commissioned Ministry Leadership Formation Program towards the completion of a Bachelor's degree with a Theology major or minor, or a minor in Pastoral Ministry and Spirituality.
- as credits fulfilling pre-requisites for a Master's degree
- as continuing education opportunities
Upon completion, participants will be qualified to serve in various ministry positions (see Group II).
