Early Childhood Education

A candidate seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood will obtain the knowledge, skills and dispositions to teach students ages birth to 8 years, with or without disabilities.  The program includes a Liberal Arts Sequence, Teacher Education Core Courses, and the Early Childhood Course Sequence.  Successful Praxis I and II requirements, and clinic and student teaching experiences are required for Wisconsin licensure. 

Note: Additional courses may be added to the Early Childhood Sequence in order to pursue the Early Childhood-Middle Childhood (ages birth-11) licensure.

Undergraduate candidates must pass Praxis I Mathematics, Reading, and Writing before taking 300 and 400 level program courses.
