Bachelor of Arts Degree in English

The Bachelor of Arts degree in English affords students a vibrant study of literature in an intimate setting. Students acquire in-depth knowledge of the traditions of American, British, and World literature, as they understand the richness of our literary and cultural heritages. As students grow as readers, they learn to position those literary traditions in relation to the values of today's global society. Students augment their studies by taking a minor in an additional discipline.

Both Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence and Early Adolescence/Adolescence teaching certification may be attained at the major level. Students desiring careers as educators are professionally prepared through course work in curriculum, teaching methodology, and professional issues.
