Scholarships For
Traditional Students
Silver Lake College recognizes academic achievement and demonstrated talent in a variety of areas through the awarding of merit and performance scholarships. Merit scholarships are awarded when students enter the college, and are renewable provided a student remains continuously enrolled full-time and in good academic standing. Performance awards may be awarded to new or continuing students and are also renewable based on full-time enrollment, good academic standing, and continued participation in the award area.
Award amounts listed below are per academic year. Please note that Silver Lake College scholarships may be combined up to a total of $10,000 per academic year, and may only be applied toward the cost of tuition. For more information, please contact the Office of Admissions.
Generose Scholarship - FULL TUITION
Students will be invited to compete for this scholarship. Contact Admissions for details.
Merit Scholarships - New First-Year Students in Traditional Program
Awards are made based on a combination of GPA and ACT score. To be eligible, new students must be accepted to Silver Lake by February 15 of the year they will enroll. Requires full-time enrollment.
- Presidential Scholarship $9,000
- Dean's Scholarship $7,500
- Honors Scholarship $6,500
Merit Scholarships - Transfer Students in Traditional Program
- Transfer Merit Scholarship $6,000
Requires transfer GPA of 3.0 or higher and full-time enrollment
- Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship $1,500
Requires membership in PTK and full-time enrollment
Performance Awards
- Athletic Scholarship $3,000
- Music Ensemble Scholarship $1,000 - $2,000
- Service Award $2,000
- Class of 2010 Award $1,000
The Class of 2010 award is available to 2010 graduates of public and parochial/private high schools in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties
- Catholic H.S. Alumni Award $1,000
The Catholic H.S. Alumni Award is available to Catholic high school graduates.
Endowed and Annual Gift Scholarships
Through the generosity and support of Silver Lake alumni, donors, and friends of the college, Silver Lake College awards scholarship assistance to current students from more than 150 funds annually. The majority of endowed and annual gift scholarships are designated in the fall. However, students are notified of specific scholarship opportunities throughout the year.
Private Scholarships
The Office of Financial Aid posts private scholarship information outside the office as it's received and students are welcome to review the notifications there. In addition, an online Scholarship Update is revised often with current scholarship information.
