New Student Orientation - pre-term - as long as needed

Open to persons who have at least started the Application Process and are ready to register. The first Competency for all students is Leadership.

Goals for the Orientation

1. Introduce students to the Administrative Leadership Program.

2. Introduce students to the program philosophy and focus.

3. Familiarize students with Educator (our course management system) and with the Administrative Leadership web pages

4. Provide students an opportunity to get a head start on portfolio development and on their first competency completion work.

. Provide answers to any and all questions students have.


Online Orientation Activities and Schedule

Materials will become available on the indicated date and will remain online to be revisited and to allow students to start their orientation at any time during the period.

   I. Exploring the SLC Administrative Leadership Program and meeting the other candidates. 

  II. Examining the concept of leadership - discussion and review of personal leadership experiences.

 III. Starting your portfolio -- developing Section II Prior Learning

IV. Pausing to Refresh -- questions and answers of any variety

 V. Continuing work on your portfolio and competency.
