Welcome to the Library

The Erma M. & Theodore M. Zigmunt Library

The library is the heart of the College's academic life providing a wide variety of materials and services. Located on the second and third floors of the east wing, the main college library is available to students, faculty, staff and members of the public providing full access to a collection of over 60,000 volumes, more then 250 current print periodicals and newspapers, online databases, as well as extensive media holdings including video (VHS and DVD), computer software, microforms and sound recordings (CDs, LPs, cassette).  The library’s collection can be accessed via the Internet.

A currently validated, bar-coded campus photo ID or Library Courtesy Card (available to non-students for $5.00/4 yrs. fee) is needed to borrow library materials or access any of the interlibrary loan services available to the college community. A fully integrated automated online catalog provides descriptive information and current status of materials for Silver Lake and St. Norbert's libraries.

Conscious of the expanding world of information, the library serves as an information center to support, supplement, and enrich the curriculum of each discipline. Easy access to book stacks, periodicals, reference materials, a music listening room, and a computer/media room make the library convenient for study and research. A Rare Book Room is also available for supervised use.

In addition to the main library, the Education, Music and Religious Studies Departments maintain specialized, curriculum centers where students will find materials and other resources geared to these specific disciplines.
