The
Department of Music at Silver Lake College enjoys a coveted reputation for
excellence and scholarship. It offers a wide variety of degree and certificate
programs, both undergraduate and graduate, and continually evaluate our programs
to meet student needs. Silver Lake College was the first in the country to
establish an undergraduate Kodály Concept of Music Education concentration, a
unique program offered by only a few leading institutions in the United States.
The dedicated and highly qualified faculty have gained the respect of local, regional, national and international colleagues through their outstanding teaching and performing. The entire staff is committed to excellence in the instruction of choral, instrumental, and general music and preparing students for their future in music.
The Silver Lake College Music programs are accredited by the National
Association of Schools of Music, the Higher Learning Commission of the North
Central Association, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
