Non-Traditional Music Programs

- Lovenotes - A five-week course, offered at
Silver Lake College and developed by internationally recognized music
educator, Dr. Lorna Zemke, aimed at teaching pregnant couples how to use music
as a bonding language with their unborn child.
- Dr. Lorna Zemke also developed the LOVENOTES instructional package, now available for purchase, for use by music educators, Lamaze instructors, physicians, nurses, health care providers, and others who would like to offer a similar program in their area.
- Music for Tots - A ten-week program hosted every fall, spring and summer for children ages 3 - 5 designed to help improve not only the tonal, listening, coordination and rhythmic skills, but also verbal and socialization skills, ability to follow directions, focus attention and share with peers.
