The Silver Lake College Department of Music presents its 35th annual Summer Music Session during June and July 2008. Classes include topics in Kodály, solfege, choral literature, folk dance, theory and church music.
- Admissions
- Students who have not previously attended Silver Lake College must apply for admission. Kodály Certificate/special student admissions: Apply as a graduate student.
- Prior to acceptance into the Master of Music program, applicants must complete graduate admission requirements. Enroll with special student status until graduate admission requirements are met.
- Registration
- Fill out the course registration form and mail it to Sister Lorna Zemke at the address on the form.
- International Students
- New and returning international students must contact the Office of Admissions at 920-686-6175 or jgrant@silver.sl.edu prior to registering for classes.
- Entrance Exams for Master of Music Candidates
- Students wishing to complete entrance examinations before or during the summer of 2008 should complete the Master of Music entrance exam form and return it with the course registration form. Exams are required in the areas of music theory, applied performance, music history, and conducting (video acceptable).
- Scholarships & Financial Aid
- Limited scholarships and financial aid are available for qualified applicants. For scholarships, contact Sr. Lorna Zemke at 920-686-6161 or lzemke@silver.sl.edu. For financial aid, contact the Office of Financial Aid at 920-686-6122 or financialaid@silver.sl.edu.
- Housing
- Apartment-style housing is available at the Silver Lake College Student Residence located at 5141 Expo Drive, Manitowoc, WI, a four-minute drive from campus. Cost is $30 per night with a minimum charge of $150 (five nights). Download a summer housing contract or explore other local housing options.
