- Credits from technical colleges will transfer
The Silver Lake College’s RN to BSN completion program is specifically
designed for the working RN, recognizing not only the limitations imposed
by a busy professional and family life, but the unique contributions each
experienced nurse brings to the classroom. This accelerated program is a
collaborative effort between Silver Lake College and Lakeshore Technical
College. It provides a smooth transition from an associate degree to a
cost-effective, quality, liberal arts education.
The baccalaureate-nursing curriculum fosters an increased sense of
professionalism as a registered nurse while focusing on nursing theory,
research, community health, and the development of leadership skills. The
liberal arts courses will provide the student with skills, values, and
concepts that result in intellectual inquiry, integration, commitment,
service, and motivation for lifelong learning.
Scheduled classes are delivered in a user-friendly format to accommodate
your career goals and your busy work and family schedule. Classes meet
four hours each week permitting you to successfully progress toward your
baccalaureate degree by focusing on one or two courses at a time.
