Silver Reflections
Silver Reflections, the literary magazine of Silver Lake
College, publishes original writing and artwork produced by
members of the Silver Lake College community. It strives to
produce a stimulating and fresh magazine that exhibits the best
creative expressions of SLC. Printed each spring, the
journal is edited entirely by students. All work submitted
is evaluated by an editorial staff under the guidance of faculty
advisors. Writing is judged for its literary merit:
originality of form or voice; thoughtful treatment of a theme;
inspired use of an established form (i.e., sonnet, dramatic
monologue, detective story); etc. Silver Reflections
has a tradition of accepting a small number of unsigned written
works because it understands the freedom anonymity affords
writers' creativity and expression. Art submissions are
directed to the College Art Department and are judged by the art
editor and the Silver Reflections art faculty advisor.
