Cancelation of Events
Events can be canceled for a number of reasons. We understand that things come up and we will work with you if you need to cancel your event. Our cancelation policy can be found in our rental contract.
Weather Disclaimer: Renters will not be responsible for cancelation fees due to severe and or inclement weather if College Administration deems conditions appropriate to close.
Quotes and Payments
Your event will be issued a rental quote that lays out any fee associated with your event. Upon approval of the quote, a rental agreement will be used. A deposit will be due before the event. Ten (10) days after your event, you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance.
Any sponsoring organization entering into an event contract with Silver Lake College must use the Campus Food Service for catering services. To ensure the quality of food, it is important for your group to be present and seated at the agreed upon time.
Rules of the college prohibit any groups from bringing prepared food or beverages onto the premise for consumption, other than a wedding or celebration cake. Celebration cakes can only be brought in from a licensed bakery. Proof of Wisconsin State Food License may be required prior to bringing in the baked goods. Health regulations prevent us from giving extra food to guests to take home. Under no circumstances may any remaining food or beverages be removed from the premises with the exception of the wedding or celebration cake. These policies reflect the industry standard for licensed food operations as set forth by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services food code, 3-306.14.
State liquor code set by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue require all alcoholic beverages must be purchased and dispensed by the licensed personnel of the college. At no time can liquor, beer, wine, or champagne be purchased elsewhere and be brought on the college campus.
