Master of Arts in Education - Teacher Leadership Program

The graduate program in Teacher Leadership at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is designed to help potential teacher leaders acquire the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed for effective leadership in the 21st century.  Grounded in servant leadership, best instructional practices and development as a reflective practitioner, the program is focused on the belief that all students can learn at high levels. The curriculum emphasizes:

  • Models of collaborative and distributed leadership
  • Building a culture focused on excellence to meet organizational challenges and diverse student needs
  • Effective, research-supported instructional approaches

Master of Arts in Education - Administrator Leadership Program

The Graduate Program in Administrator Leadership at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is designed to help potential school administrators acquire the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed for effective leadership in the 21st century.  Grounded in servant-leadership, best instructional practices, and development as a reflective practitioner, the program is focused on the belief that all students can learn at high levels.  The curriculum emphasizes:

  • Providing more responsive forms of leadership
  • Creating a collaborative culture focused on excellence to meet organizational challenges and diverse student needs
  • Constructing and applying new knowledge in the service of human beings

Graduate Education Reading Teacher Licensure

Graduate Education Reading Teacher Licensure

The Reading Teacher Licensure is available as a part of our Teacher Leadership program or as a stand-alone option.  The 12 credit program does not require a Master’s degree. Coursework includes study and application of research-supported best practices in reading instruction preK-12, including diagnosis and response to exceptional reading needs, as well as practicum experience. Individuals completing the program and state licensure requirements are qualified to serve as reading teachers in Wisconsin schools.
