Posted on December 04 2013

Silver Lake College of the Holy Family and St. Francis of Assisi Parish are delighted to present the 2013-2014 Father Bill Zimmer Forum, a “book group for people of faith.” Book discussions are open to the public without charge and are held in the Heritage Room (room 238, formerly the Grand Lounge) on the second floor of the main building of Silver Lake College, 2406 South Alverno Road, Manitowoc, on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:15 pm. There is no January Forum. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch, or food is available for purchase in the College dining room beginning at 11:30 am.

On Tuesday, December 10, Father David Beaudry, Associate Pastor at St. Francis of Assisi Parish and Theology Instructor at Silver Lake College, will lead a discussion on Reforming the Liturgy: A Response to the Critics by liturgical scholar John F. Baldovin. With a focus on philosophical, historical, and theological questions, Baldovin provides a critical yet sympathetic assessment of the objections to changes in the liturgy since the Second Vatican Council.
