Posted on February 25 2014

Dale Van Minsel will have one of his photographs, “County Fair,” included in the juried  exhibition “Forward 2014: A Survey of Wisconsin Art Now,” which will be held March 7 through June 29 at the Charles Allis Art Museum, 1801 N. Prospect Ave., Milwaukee.

Van Minsel, a resident of Howards Grove, is the digital and communications coordinator at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family, 2406 S. Alverno Road, Manitowoc. Van Minsel’s photo is one of 60 works of art that will be showcased among more than 400 entries received from Wisconsin artists. Works were selected based on the following components: composition, originality, creativity, subject matter, design, unification and use of the medium.

Every two years, the Charles Allis Art Museum hosts “Forward: A Survey of Wisconsin Art Now.” Laurie Winters, executive director and CEO of the Museum of Wisconsin Art, is this year’s juror.

An opening reception with awards ceremony is scheduled for March 7 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
