Posted on May 20 2013

Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is delighted to host the Senior Music Recital for Miss Amanda Dumovich on Sunday, May 26, at 3:00 pm in the College Chapel, 2406 South Alverno Road, Manitowoc. The concert is an instrumental performance (alto saxophone with accompaniment), and is open to the public at no charge.

Amanda is a senior majoring in Music Education at Silver Lake College, and is from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She performs in the Silver Lake Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Chorale (an all “a capella” choral group with membership by audition only), and has been selected to perform in the National Band Association (Wisconsin Chapter) All-Star Band the last three years. She is an active member of CNAfME (National Association for Music Education). After graduating and completing her student teaching, Amanda hopes to teach band at the middle school level, and would like to have her own music studio. She wants to continue performing, but at the professional level, both concert and jazz music. The musical repertoire for Amanda’s recital includes many French and Baroque works, including music by Henri Eccles, Darius Milhaud, Arcangelo Corelli, Franz Beck, Erik Satie, and Jerome Savari. She will also perform several jazz standards in combination with other performers. Amanda will be accompanied by Silver Lake College faculty member and concert pianist, Dr. Diana Shapiro.
