Posted on September 11 2012

Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is proud to present the 2012-13 reflective Franciscan art exhibit, Living with Franciscan Ideals. The exhibit will be located in the art wing of Silver Lake College September 17 through October 11. It is open to the public at no charge from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The exhibit will feature a variety of media by members of the Franciscan Sisterhood and other artists including sculptures, paintings, and a five foot tall San Damiano Crucifix. It will also feature significant influences in the lives of Saints Francis and Clare and their imitation of the Most High God. The San Damiano Crucifix with its Trinitarian and Paschal Mystery theme is at the heart of Franciscan spirituality.
