Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is proud to announce the winners of the third annual Mother Generose Cahill Scholarship Competition. The Mother Generose Cahill Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship (valued at approximately $90,000) offered to two new, full-time, undergraduate students per year. The scholarship honors students who excel in the Silver Lake College traditions of academic achievement, leadership and community service.

Selected student competitors were invited to campus to participate in an essay-writing contest and interviews with a faculty panel representing the academic departments of the College. Eleven students and their families attended this year, coming from Manitowoc County and other communities from across the state.

The two students chosen as the 2012 Generose Cahill Scholars are: Christopher Guy from Oostburg High School and Courtney Dekanich from Sheboygan Falls High School.

The other student competitors not chosen for the Generose Cahill Scholarship have been awarded the Sister Orestes Kohlbeck Scholarship for $10,000 per year for four years.
