SLC Music Faculty Elected to Manitowoc Symphony Board

(SLC’s Assistant Professor of Music, Damon Carlson, was recently elected to a three year term on the 2011-2012 Board of Directors for the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra.)

 Silver Lake College of the Holy Family’s Assistant Professor of Music, Damon Carlson, was recently elected to a three year term on the 2011-2012 Board of Directors for the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra.

Damon is currently in his fourth year as a member of the music faculty at Silver Lake College and has been Chair of Fine Arts since 2010. Damon holds a Master’s Degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. Prior to joining Silver Lake College, Mr. Carlson taught middle school and high school choral music in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In addition to his conducting and teaching duties at Silver Lake, he maintains a private voice studio and enjoys a special interest in choral arranging.
